- Holiday camping
- attend personal development courses

- Our support workers are trained to make you comfortable and provide you maximum support to make your experience in community participation a memorable one.
Assist With Travel/Transportation
- Hera Care provides travel and transport services to people with disability. Assistance with travel and transport include supports including through personal transport-related aids and equipment, or training to use public transport.
- A participant’s transport supports may also include the reasonable and necessary costs of taxis or other private transport options for participants who are not able to travel independently, as well as transport to and from school for students.
- A Hera Care staff member will drive you to your appointment or another place in the community and take you back home when you’re done. Our transport services are booked on an ongoing basis, such as a weekly trip to the shops or regular medical appointments.
- We provide you with safe, convenient transport, scheduled in advance to help you get to:
- School or another educational facility
- Work
- Your doctor or other medical appointments
- Your local shopping centre
- Around your community
- All of our staff have a valid Working with Children Check and Police check and valid qualifications to work in this Industry.
- Our services are flexible, you have the power to choose the services that best suit your needs and goals, including how services are delivered. Each of the services above can be tailored to your specific requirements, and changed as your needs change.
- Our transport support enables our participants to travel independently with the required equipment and aid. We also train our participants on how to effectively use public transport in order to make their travel journey easy and comfortable.
- Our staff are fully trained and holder valid drivers licences and if using our vehicles, you can rest assured and all our vehicles are fully covered.
Support Coordination
- What is Support Coordination?
- According to the NDIS, Support Coordination is “a capacity building support to implement all supports in a participant’s plan, including informal, mainstream, community and funded supports”.

- Hera Care provide Support Coordination services to Self Managed, Plan Managed and NDIA participants.

- If using NDIA, the NDIA will make a decision if you need Support Coordination. They will also decide what level of Support Coordination you might need. The NDIA are likely to approve Support Coordination if you:
- Have circumstances that make it difficult to participate as much as you would like in meetings, and in making sense of information.
- Are lacking confidence at this stage in your life and need support to connect you with your community.
- Need support to make informed decisions, especially in a crisis.
- Hera Care Support Coordination can help you to implement your plan, and find services and supports in your region.
- What can we do for you?
- Hera Care Support Coordinators will work with you to:
- Assist you to understand and get the best out of your package and plan by providing you with information, support and advice when you need to make decisions
- Choose preferred options or providers
- Arrange assessments
- Work out your budget
- Talk with the plan manager to allocate funds
- Work with you and assist you in becoming more confident in talking to and working with services such as Health, Education, Housing and other services that anyone in the community can use.
- Resolve problems or issues
- Understand service agreements
- Change or end a service agreement
- Check in with you to make sure you are getting the most out of each service. And if not, support you to talk with the service or make a different choice
- Help you to get ready for a plan review
- Provide information to you, your Plan Manager (we also do Plan Management) the NDIA that shows we are doing our job to assist you in reaching your goals

Our accommodation services allow people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, broaden their horizons and cultivate lifelong friendships.
Our short-term accommodation houses provide families and unpaid carers of a person or persons with a disability with planned, short-term; time-limited breaks from their usual caring role. Our short-term accommodation houses aim to provide a positive experience for both the carer and the person with a disability.
Our houses are comfortable, well maintained and well resourced and offer specialised equipment and are located close to transport and other local services.
Children’s and Adult Short-term Accommodation Houses
Our Children’s and Adult Houses are bright, modern, well equipped five bedroom homes that offer planned short-term respite for families and carers of young people and adults with a disability. Our professional, skilled staff specialise in ensuring that the short terms breaks provide positive experiences for all.
Supported Accommodation and Independent Living with Drop-In Support
Hera Care provides opportunities for people in supported accommodation to learn new skills in a safe and secure environment. Every resident assists in the general operation of their household, including preparing their own meals, shopping, cleaning and tending to the garden. Residents have their own room which can be furnished and decorated to their own taste. We also offer a variety other opportunities to learn new skills such as computer skills, budgeting skills, catching transport and pursuing recreational and social interests. Our skilled staff support residents in all these areas and provide support in expanding life experiences
